A Little About Me

This business is filled with TLC for all animals after a not so fortunate puppy grooming experience with my dog, Willow. I vowed to make it my mission to become a professional dog groomer for what I didn't know at the time was not all dog groomers in Australia are professionally trained.

Animals have been a large part of my life and still are just as important to me today. I'm a proud animal mum of two dogs and two fresh water fish tanks, horse and cat. Since before I could walk I’ve ridden and cared for horses which is still a passion, my mother started me off on that journey as a very young child and it pretty quickly became a life long love I'll never grow out of.

I grew up on farms so I have had lots of time to take care of horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, cows, goats, sheep and even the odd hedgehog in New Zealand where I’m originally from. 

After landing my feet on Burleigh Heads Beach 15 plus years ago I found my happy place (along with my animals) and created a life raising three beautiful boys - the children kind!

As a Professional Pet Stylist offering animal grooming we have a code of ethics that is set by the Animal Welfare and Animal Ethics Legislation. 

You can rest assured that along with the best TLC possible I am also fully Certified and Trained. 

Sadly anybody can call themselves a dog groomer in Australia and sell their services, although in all honesty it takes many hours and a level of skill and dedication for groomers to learn professionally. This ensures more than just your dogs haircut is taken care of!

With knowledge across all breeds you can be sure that your pets coat will be appropriately taken care of, no matter what breed.

I am also happy to show you how to take care of your much loved puppy, dog, or cat in between appointments to avoid issues like matting.   

During the treatments offered I focus on your animals mental health while grooming your pet. I achieve this by reading their body language when handling them in a way that makes your pet feel safe and comfortable. 

With knowledge and experience to understand your animal's psychology you can rest assured your pet will leave THE TLC PET PROFESSIONAL healthy, looking fabulous, and very importantly happy and well cared for.
